We’re a boutique studio where experience meets fresh perspective — and where every project is personal. We’re looking for a licensed architect who wants to play a meaningful role in that work, not just occupy a seat.

About the Role

This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Lakeville studio. As Architect of Record, you’ll serve as the licensed professional responsible for reviewing and stamping construction documents — but at DCD, your role goes far beyond that.

You’ll work directly with our principal and design team on high-end custom homes, collaborating with top-tier builders and discerning clients across Minnesota and beyond. In our boutique environment, you’ll be involved at every stage — from early concept through final documentation and client interaction.

This is a role for someone who values ownership, craftsmanship, and being deeply involved in the work.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as Architect of Record, reviewing and stamping construction documents
• Collaborate closely with our design and drafting team from concept through CDs
• Work directly with clients and builders, communicating with clarity and professionalism
• Navigate permitting and code requirements (local and out-of-state projects)
• Take ownership of projects — proactively solving problems and driving progress

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Architect in the State of Minnesota ( required )
• Experience in high-end custom residential design
• Strong initiative and self-direction — you don’t wait to be told what’s next
• Collaborative mindset — you thrive in a tight-knit, team-oriented environment
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a boutique studio setting
• Based in the Twin Cities and available for full-time, in-office work
