Summary Nurse Tech / Patient Care Technician (CNA) High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) – Levindale Specialty Hospital Make a Difference in High‑Intensity Patient Care. Levindale’s High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) is part of our Specialty Hospital and offers a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment where patient care truly matters. The unit features 20 semi‑private rooms (up to 40 patients) and provides specialized care for patients recovering from acute brain injuries, respiratory conditions, and complex medical needs requiring close monitoring and rehabilitation. We are a positive, compassionate, and highly collaborative team committed to improving outcomes and helping patients regain independence. What You’ll Do As a Patient Care Technician (CNA/GNA), you will work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the nursing team Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients Support clinical staff with daily patient care activities and rehabilitation needs Build compassionate relationships with patients and families What We’re Looking For Maryland CNA license required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 1–3 years of patient care experience American Heart Association BLS Certification required Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Why Join Levindale?
